World-class tonewoods, comfort-enhancing design elements and a suite of luxurious appointments make the Builder's Edition 912ce a marvel to see, hear and hold. Solid Honduran rosewood back and sides yield an exquisitely textured, harmonically complex tone with warm lows, piano-like trebles and lush, blooming overtones with enough clarity to cut through a mix. A hand-selected striped sinker redwood top, sourced from logs submerged for decades in silt-rich California riverbeds, adds cedar-like warmth and touch sensitivity along with a higher volume ceiling and enhanced dynamic range. Under the hood, V-Class voicing architecture further elevates the response with more power and sustain. Meanwhile, the Grand Concert body continues to deliver a hand-friendly playing experience due to its shorter scale length, lighter string tension and touch sensitivity. A beveled armrest and cutaway, chamfered body edges and a smooth Curve Wing bridge add to an ultra-comfortable playing experience. Visual appointments include Kona edgeburst back and sides with a heelburst neck, Hawaiian koa purfling, paua edge trim, Belle Fleur inlays in paua and mother-of-pearl, and antique gold Gotoh 510 tuners. It ships with ES2 electronics and a hardshell case.
